New flavours joins the delicious Hydra 200ml carton range

20 February 2017: Building on popularity of our school compliant Hydra range we’ve extended the choice within the 200ml Hydra Juice carton range with the addition of 2 new flavours: Strawberry & Sour Cherry and Apple & Blackcurrant.

The new product is available now to all channels of the trade and joins the extensive Hydra Juice range, which includes: Orange; Apple; and Pineapple Juice Drinks. All of the 200ml drinks contain 75% juice and count as one of the recommended 5-a-day portions. The range is school complaint throughout the whole of the UK, which means it adheres to government guidelines regarding what kids’ drinks can and cannot contain. The size of the cartons makes them perfect for easy on-the-go or out-of-home drinking.

 

Sunmagic launches new Hydra Fizz range!

4 August  2016: Sunmagic is launching a ‘Hydra Fizz’ range of children’s sparkling juice drinks as it continues to invigorate the back-to-school soft drinks market with healthier and more innovative school-compliant products.

The Hydra Fizz range contains 50% fruit juice and is made using spring water, providing one of the recommended 5-a-day, and comes in six tasty, school-friendly flavours including: Tropical Twist; Berry Medley; Apple Crush; Very Cherry; Fruit Smash; and Zingy Lemon. The sparkling juice drinks are packaged in a tall, slim, 300ml PET bottle, which is exclusive to Sunmagic and gives excellent standout on shelf. Each bottle has an RRP of 45p.

The new range targets 8-16 year-olds but is also suitable for the whole family. The Hydra Fizz drinks are school-compliant throughout the UK, adhering to new government guidelines regarding what kids’ drinks can and cannot contain.

 

 

Sunmagic launches 3 new healthy drinks ranges

16 May 2016: Sunmagic is launching three new ranges as it continues to add breadth to the healthy soft drinks category with products which tap into the latest consumer trends such as low calorie and low sugar drinks, and coconut water.

The new healthy ranges are available in Iceland stores nationally from this week in more than 500 outlets, and comprise Sunmagic: 250ml Cold-Pressed HPP Smoothie range; Coconut Water which comes in a 1ltr Elopak pack; and 1ltr Low Calorie and Low Sugar Juice Drink range.

Sunmagic’s 250ml Cold-Pressed HPP Smoothie range comes in the following flavours: Carrot & Mango and Beetroot & Berry.

Sunmagic Coconut Water comes in a 1ltr Elopak format and has an RRP of £1.75 per pack.

The final range is Sunmagic’s 1ltr Low Calorie and Low Sugar juice drinks which are available in four delicious flavours including Tropical Juice Drink, Orange & Mango Juice Drink, Caribbean Juice Drink and Summer Fruits Juice Drink, and with an RRP of 59p it offers great value. The drinks are a response to the growing sugar debate, offering consumers healthier options. Sunmagic launches two new premium juice ranges

26 October 2015: Sunmagic, which produces a comprehensive range of 100% pure fruit juice, smoothies and juice drinks, is launching two new premium juice ranges as it taps into the growing consumer trend for healthier soft drinks.

The first new range is Sunmagic’s first ever Not From Concentrate (NFC) fruit juice range and comes in three flavours: Seriously Smooth Orange; Orange Juice with Juicy Bits; and Cloudy Pressed Apple Juice. The drinks are packaged in 1L Elopak Curve cartons and specialist aseptic unit packaging means that they can be supplied and stored as an ambient stable before chilling in the fridge ready for the consumer. The Sunmagic NFC Fruit Juice range is available to all channels of the trade with a highly competitive RSP of £2 per 1L carton, providing excellent value for money for exceptional quality juice.

The second range is a Cold Pressed range which uses High Pressure Processing technology (HPP) to extend the shelf life from seven to 45 days. The Sunmagic Cold Pressed HPP range comes in Freshly Squeezed Orange and Cold Pressed Cloudy Apple Juice and is available in 250ml PET bottles for both variants, while the Orange variant also comes in a 750ml PET bottle.

Sunmagic Launches New Hydra Brand

8 July 2015: Sunmagic, which produces a comprehensive range of 100% pure fruit juice, smoothies and juice drinks, is launching its first ever sub-brand, called Hydra, which comprises three ranges of premium drinks targeting different consumer occasions.

The Hydra brand includes Hydra Juice, a five-strong range of still juice drinks available in the following innovative flavours: Orange, Lemon & Lime; Apple & Mango; Strawberry & Cherry; Fruit Punch; and Raspberry & Blueberry. Hydra Fizz is a fizzy range of juice drinks, available in the following variants: Blackcurrant Cola; Orangez; and Applez. Hydra Blast features a sports-cap for easy on-the-go drinking, and comes in the following flavours: Amazing Apple & Blackcurrant; Outrageous Orange; and Awesome Apple.

The Hydra ranges all contain 45% fruit juice, and the Hydra Blast and Hydra Fizz ranges also contain spring water. Sunmagic Launches Healthy Drinks Range For Kids

21 January 2015: Sunmagic, which produces a comprehensive range of 100% pure fruit juice, smoothies and juice drinks, is launching a three-strong range of colour-coded kids’ juice drinks. The new drinks are the first of their kind to be deemed healthy or ‘school-compliant’ by new government regulations about what kids food and drink can and cannot contain.

Sunmagic’s 45% Fruit Juice range is packaged in 330ml PET bottles coloured to indicate the flavour of the drink. Amazing Apple & Blackcurrant Juice Drink comes in a purple bottle; Outrageous Orange Juice Drink variant in an orange bottle; while Awesome Apple Juice Green comes in a green bottle. All bottles feature a sports cap for convenience.

The juice drinks contain 45% fruit juice as well as spring water, and count as one of the five-a-day portions. The range is available to all channels of the trade from the first week in February, in 12 x 330ml cases.

Sunmagic Launches Raft of New Products

30 September 2014: Sunmagic, which produces a comprehensive range of 100% pure fruit juice, smoothies and juice drinks, is launching a raft of new products, to appeal to the consumer trends for both low-calorie drinks and more exotic flavours.

The first new product is Sunmagic Cherry & Apple Juice Drink, which is low calorie and available in 500ml bottles. Sunmagic will also bring Apple, Mint & White Grape Juice Drink to market in mid-October, also in 500ml bottles. This product contains 35% juice; a much higher juice content than that of the average juice drink.

The premium drinks manufacturer is also launching four new one-litre packs, which are low calorie with no added sugar and are available now. These comprise: Sunmagic Tropical Juice Drink, Orange & Mango Juice Drink; Caribbean Delight and Summer Delight Juice Drinks. Sunmagic Elopak Premium Mango Juice Drink will be available from mid-October and comes in aseptic packaging, which provides a longer shelf life. The product is made from Alfonso mangoes, the best mangoes available.

Sunmagic Launches Two New Back-To-School Range

 2 September 2014: Sunmagic, which produces a comprehensive range of 100% pure fruit juice, smoothies and juice drinks, is launching two new juice drink ranges for the new school term.

The two ranges come ahead of new government regulations regarding school food standards which come into play in January 2015*. Under the new standards, soft drinks available in schools must contain no more than 150ml of juice due to their sugar content, and the maximum portion size of ‘combination drinks’ (drinks containing both juice and water) is now capped at 330ml. The portion size limit has been put in place to avoid soft drinks manufacturers adding artificial sweeteners to enhance the taste of an over-diluted drink.

Sunmagic 75% Juice range is available in Orange, Apple and Pineapple Juice Drink variants and comes in 200ml cartons. Sunmagic 45% Juice range is available in Orange, Apple and Tropical flavours, as well as Fairtrade Orange and Fairtrade Apple lines, and is packaged in a 330ml PET bottle. All the new products contain 150ml juice, with the remaining volume consisting of water. The 200ml cartons are available now and the 330ml bottles will be ready in mid October, from leading Education wholesalers nationally.

Sunmagic Launches First Ever Lightly Sparkling Sports-Cap Drink

 26 March 2014: Sunmagic, the 100% pure fruit juice, smoothie and juice drink brand, is bringing a new lightly sparkling juice drink to market, which is the UK’s first drink of its sort with a sports cap.

Sunmagic Lightly Sparkling Juice Drinks will be available to all channels of the trade from May and come in two variants: Apple & Cranberry, and Peach & Melon. The drinks are made with 63% natural mineral water and also contain 30% juice, an exceptionally high juice content versus the rest of the juice drink market. Both products are packaged in 500ml PET bottles with a sports cap specially engineered for lightly sparkling products, which allows for easy drinking on-the-go.

The drinks are available in 6 x 500ml packs, with an outer case suitable for the major multiples, and have an RRP of 79p per bottle. The dynamic label includes imagery of bubbles, with each bubble listing the products’ key features, for example that they contain 30% juice, are free from preservatives and that they are lightly sparkling.

Sunmagic Reports Record Year (2013)

 21 January 2014: Sunmagic, which produces a comprehensive range of 100% pure fruit juice, smoothies and juice drinks, is reporting a record year, with sales up 15% year-on-year for the year ended 31 December 2013, outperforming the total juice, juice drink and smoothie category, which grew at just 2% year-on-year*.

Sunmagic’s record year brought its retail sales value from £21m (January 2013) to £24m. This increase was due to a combination of increased distribution as well as increased volumes per outlet, partly owing to the launch of several new Sunmagic products. For example, in early 2013 Sunmagic won a national listing across Tesco nationwide, at the same time as launching its ‘exotic’ range of fruit juices.

Sunmagic launches trio of new products

14 August 2013: Sunmagic, the 100% pure fruit juice, smoothie and juice drink brand, is launching three new products which are available to all trade channels from this month.

The three new products comprise Sunmagic Orange & Mango Juice Drink, Sunmagic Apple & Elderflower Juice Drink, and Summer Delight, a summer fruits-flavoured juice drink. The drinks are packaged in 500ml PET bottles and are available in both price-marked and non price-marked formats. The price-marked packs carry an introductory 79p price mark for a limited period only, after which they will be price-marked at 99p per bottle.

With the launch of the new products, Sunmagic now has 13 variants within its 500ml bottle range, which is one of the biggest in the UK available to all channels. The flavours were chosen due to current consumer taste trends and following extensive research within the trade.


Sunmagic unveils four new exotic juice drinks

21st March, 2013: Sunmagic, the 100% pure fruit juice, smoothie and juice drink brand has launched four new delicious drinks, which are available now.

The full-flavoured new drinks can be consumed straight, or as a mixer in cocktails and mocktails, and comprise Sunmagic: Mango Juice Drink; Passion Fruit Juice Drink; Pineapple & Coconut Juice Drink; and Pomegranate Juice Drink. The new drinks are packaged in one-litre recap packs and carry the strapline The Taste of the Tropical Sun, reflecting the origin of the fruits.

The four new juices contain no artificial colours, sweeteners, flavourings or preservatives, are suitable for vegetarians and all benefit from excellent nutritional properties. Mangoes are renowned for their protective nutrients including vitamin C and beta carotene (vitamin A), whilst passion fruit is also high in potassium and anti-oxidants.

An added benefit of drinking the pineapple & coconut juice is that they are both known fruits for aiding digestion. The popularity of pomegranates has risen sharply over the last couple of years with many referring to the tropical fruit as a ‘super-fruit’, thanks to it being a fantastic natural source of vitamins including folic acid.

New product design encourages consumers to ‘get the sunshine in’

8th December, 2011: Sunmagic, a delicious range of 100% pure fruit juices, 100% pure fruit smoothies and a selection of juice drinks has been rebranded with a new logo, packaging design and several new flavours following the company’s debut into multiple retailers.

Reinforcing consumer benefits such as clean ingredients lists, 100% juice content or Fairtrade affiliations the bottles and tetrapacks have been redesigned to reflect the sunny, beach themes behind the brand.

The new logo brings the sun image to the fore, whilst the label and carton designs feature sun-bleached wooden planks and hand-stencilled letterforms, communicating a warm, sunny and natural place.

The new products added to the range include Blood Orange, Apple & Blackcurrant and Alphonso Mango Juice, multi packs, Fairtrade packs and Sunmagic’s first ever Price Mark pack: 1 litre tropical.

Sunmagic’s 100% pure prune juice

Constipation is extremely common and almost 14 million people in the UK suffer from it at some point in their lives. Prune juice is a great source of sorbitol, which is a naturally occurring, low calorie sugar, found in prunes and apricots. Prune juice acts as a natural laxative, so is beneficial for a healthy digestive system.

What does sorbitol do?

Sorbitol works by being slowly absorbed into the blood. Through this gradual absorption, it tends to hold onto some water, which is beneficial to the digestive system. This increases the moisture content of stools, and softens them.

How does it work?

  • First of all, Sunmagic 100% pure prune juice is ingested into the body.
  • It then moves down through your oesophagus and into your stomach.
  • Here the juice mixes with stomach fluids and moves into your duodenum (the first section of your small intestine).
  • Nutrients from the prune juice are absorbed along with other soluble nutrients, into your blood stream.
  • As it moves into your large intestine, the water is absorbed and the sorbitol can help to add bulk and softness to your stools.

How much should I drink?

Drinking a small amount of prune juice every day is a great source of fibre. Experts suggest that adults should drink no more than 250ml of prune juice per day as part of a balanced diet.

It is also important to consume at least five daily portions of fruit and vegetables, together with around eight glasses of water. This should set you on the right track for a healthy digestive system. Nuts and seeds are also a great source of fibre.

New carrot & orange flavour added to Sunmagic range

September 2010: Sunmagic, the range of 100% pure fruit juices, smoothies and juice drinks, has this week added a new orange & carrot vitamin A, C & E juice drink to its extensive range of delicious flavours.

Great news for the health conscious as carrot juice is known for beta-carotene boosting the body with vitamin A and E. It is also thought to be good for prenatal health, eyesight, bones and teeth, liver and nails, skin and hair as well as helping in cancer prevention. *

The range will be available in 500ml PET bottles, complimenting the other delicious drinks in the range.

Sunmagic launched the orange & carrot vitamin drink following increasing consumer demand for the popular, health-driven flavour.

Sunmagic is on the verge of joining the Fairtrade movement with its new 100% pure Fairtrade orange juice.
